RCN and Pop Warner fun

Jason, Mark and 1.5 here. We just got back from Arlington where we teamed up with RCN and supported good old fashioned Pop Warner football. RCN was generous enough to donate $50 to the football organization for every attendee that signed up with them. The whole event was hosted by our very own Jason Rossi. Jason anounced all the players as they stormed the field to the roaring applause from the stands. The fortunate 'BOS listeners that came by our table recieved frisbees, pens, keychains and a coupon for a free Slurpee courtesy of 7-11. Get Slurped! Have a splendid day. Jason, 1.5, Mark

Komen Race for the Cure.

Bex and 1.5 here reporting to you straight from the 'BOS living room. We just got back from the Komen Race for the Cure event that was held at UMASS Boston early this morning. Over 6000 attendees traded in there Sunday morning breakfast for a pair of running shoes and raised thousands of dollars for finding a cure for cancer. 'BOS and Cold Stone Creamery teamed up and gave the people what they wanted...icecream and keychains. With Dana Marshall leading the opening ceremony we met up with cancer survivors and supporters who are determined to find the cure. People ran, walked, wheeled, and crawled, through the race while success stories were told over the loud speakers. There wasn't a dry eye in the crowd. Enjoy the beautiful weather!

Collective Soul-December in Hollywood

Jason, Mark, Kristen, and 1.5 here hanging in the 'BOS promotion lounge. We just got back from First Act where we and a few hand picked lucky VIP listeners were able to experience Collective Soul in a private accoustic setting. Fans came pouring in from Boylston Street at 11:45 with high expectations that were more then met. Collective Soul played everything from December to there latest radio hit Hollywood with an interview from everyones favorite D.J. Mr. John Larenti thrown inbetween. After the performance the band kicked back with avid fans and had a delicous plate of food from Salsas'. It was a wondeful way to spend lunch on a gorgeous Friday afternoon. Take it Easy...

BluesFest

Hi loyal listeners! This is Bex from the 'BOS Street Team and 1.5, Mark and I were at the Blues Fest at Wachusett Mountain earlier today for the all day blues festival. Our very own DJ, Holly Harris, who hosts "Blues on Sunday" from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. was the host for this all day festival. Even though the weather was not perfect, it didn't stop the herd of loyal blues fans who still made it out to spend several hours jammin' along to some quality blues tunes. Blues fans are definitely true fans as we saw earlier through the number of people who literally kicked off her their shoes and danced in the puddles at Wachusett Mountain. All in all it was a great day to be singin' along to the blues. Until next time...
